Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Planning Lifts
Target Delegates
This programme is designed for individuals who hold a Red CPCS card and need to achieve the relevant NVQ to convert to a Blue CPCS Competent Operator Card. Additionally, those not following the CPCS Scheme can undertake this qualification to validate their competency as an Appointed Person.
Overview
To convert a CPCS Red Trained Plant Operator Card to a CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card, operators must achieve a Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations. This qualification, issued by Cskills Awards, not only enables the conversion but also provides a nationally recognized credential, demonstrating competency in the workplace.
As a Cskills Awards accredited assessment centre, Ainscough Training Services offers a comprehensive assessment and verification service for candidates pursuing NVQs in Controlling Lifting Operations.
To achieve the qualification, candidates must gather naturally occurring work-based evidence, which may include:
-Customer correspondence, enquiry forms, and site visit request forms
-Initial site visit drawings and any related specific paperwork/photographs
-Method Statements/Risk Assessments, Job Sheets, Time Sheets, Crane Duty Charts
-Copies of CPCS card and relevant training certificates
-Any other documentation agreed upon by the assessor and candidate
Once the candidate has collected the required evidence and feels ready, our assessor will visit their work site to observe them performing their regular duties. Upon satisfactory evaluation, the candidate will be passed for verification and certification.
Certification
Upon completion, certificates of achievement will be issued by Cskills Awards. Provided the candidate has a valid MAP Health & Safety Test, they can then apply for the Blue Competent Operator Card, which is valid for five years.
