Day 1: Introduction to AutoCAD and Basics of Drawing:
Morning Session
  – Welcome and Course Overview
  – Introduction to AutoCAD Interface
  – Basic Drawing Tools and Commands
  – Hands-on Practice: Creating Simple Shapes
 
Afternoon Session
  – Modifying and Editing Drawings
  – Layers, Colours, and Line types
  – Hands-on Practice: Drawing a Basic Lifting Plan
  Template Creation: Candidate will create and save their first template for basic lifting plans.


Day 2: Advanced Drawing Techniques and Plot Plan Creation
Morning Session

  – Advanced Drawing Tools
  – Dimensioning and Annotations
  – Hands-on Practice: Creating Detailed Components

Afternoon Session
  – Introduction to Plot Plans
  – Setting Up a Plot Plan Layout
  – Hands-on Practice: Creating Plot Plans for Lifting Projects
 Template Creation: Candidate will create a plot plan template.


Day 3: Side Elevation and Rigging Study
Morning Session:

  – Introduction to Side Elevations
  – Drawing Techniques for Elevation Views
  – Hands-on Practice: Detailed Side Elevation Drawings
 
Afternoon Session:
  – Understanding Rigging Studies
  – Developing a Rigging Study from a Given Scenario
  – Hands-on Practice: Creating a Complete Rigging Study
 Template Creation: Candidate will create a rigging study template.
  – Final Q&A and Course Review


Additional Course Details:
Duration: The course will run over 3 consecutive days, twice a month.
Equipment Provided: Candidates are not required to bring laptops, as these will be provided.
Designed for Beginners: This course is designed for candidates with little to no experience in AutoCAD.
Skills and Knowledge: By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge in AutoCAD for APs (Appointed Persons).
Personal Templates: You will leave with your own templates that you can add to and change throughout your career.
Maximum Candidates: The course is limited to 5 candidates at a time to ensure personalized attention and effective learning.
Classroom-Based: This is a 2D CAD classroom-based course.
